A intervenção é em surdina, como quem, sobre um texto, apaga e sublinha. O texto da casa já existia – o pé direito alto, as divisões comunicantes, os estuques e carpintarias originais. Apagam-se as paredes a sul, ampliando a sala. Elegem-se as janelas duplas centrais da sala, rasgando com a sua luz os compartimentos interiores comunicantes.
The intervention is subtle, like someone erasing and underlining a text. The text of the house already existed—the high ceilings, interconnected rooms, original stuccos, and woodwork. The southern walls are removed, enlarging the living room. The central double windows in the living room are chosen, their light piercing through the interconnected interior spaces.
